Our Process
We will endeavour to make the designing of your home an enjoyable part of the overall build process. It should bring together ideas which have been formed over time to include your daily needs and aspirations.
We always keep in mind that this is your design of how you want to live.
The Dream
If you haven’t already done one, try to compile a list and a book of ideas, styles, wishes along with a budget that should have a contingency. Even a hand drawn sketch can help, it doesn’t need to be fancy. All of these things will give us a better idea of what you are after when we have that initial meeting. Please remember we don’t charge for the initial meeting as this is an oppotunity for both of us to see if we are on the same page.
The Meeting.
This first meeting is important as it lays out what is involved and whether it is in our realm of expertise. It gives you the opportunity to see our work first hand and understand the process which you will be involved in. It will establish our level of involvement with you, along with an outline of our expected fee.
The Designing
Once you have decided to proceed, we will run through a series of check lists, gaining all the necessary information to be able to start with the intial concept drawings. We will work closely with you at this stage, so we can refine the concepts to a final product.
Remembering it is always easier and more cost effective to make a change at this stage rather than later at the construction stage.
The Finishing
At this point you have your final concepts plans and a lot of our clients decide to have us involved helping them with the decisions of refining exterior & interior colours, finishes and surfaces. This way your project will have the continuity of the original concepts and ideas.
